Description
The Normandy landings on June 6, 1944, saw the involvement of several key American divisions in the liberation of France. The 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions played a crucial role before the beach assault. They were dropped behind enemy lines to secure roads and strategic areas. The Rangers, on the other hand, stormed Pointe du Hoc, a critical target, to destroy German guns threatening the beaches. Meanwhile, the 4th Infantry Division landed at Utah Beach, where they encountered relatively light resistance. At Omaha Beach, the 1st Infantry Division and the 29th Infantry Division faced fierce resistance. These units had to overcome formidable obstacles to successfully secure the beaches and allow the advance of Allied forces.
The design of this tshirt pays tribute to the first soldiers who landed in Normandy in June 44.
