Description

On June 6, 1944, 225 American Rangers from the 2nd Battalion, led by Lieutenant Colonel James Earl Rudder, received an extraordinarily perilous mission: to climb the 100-foot cliffs of Pointe du Hoc under enemy fire. Their objective was to neutralize six German 155mm guns that threatened Omaha and Utah beaches. Using ropes and fire ladders, the Rangers scaled the cliffs despite fierce resistance. German defenders cut several ropes and threw grenades at the attackers. Once at the top, the Rangers discovered that the guns had been moved but eventually located and destroyed them in a nearby field. Of the 225 Rangers who began the assault, only 90 were still able to fight two days later. This heroic mission, which seemed almost impossible, became a symbol of the courage and determination of American forces.

This tshirt pays tribute to a military operation that will forever go down in History
